About the Artist

Patrice Martin Wetli was born in Montclair, New Jersey to a large family with three sisters and a brother. Her mom and dad kept them all busy with reading clubs at the public library, scouting, dance classes, theater groups and summer camp.

The family moved around due to her father’s career. Patrice started high school in Michigan and finished high school in California. She attended Cypress College and California State University at Fullerton. The family spent one summer on the coast of France taking courses at the University of Nice in Nice, France.

She began painting watercolor flowers in 1977. Her whimsical paintings delighted friends and family. After marrying a farmer, she stopped her painting through the 1980's and 1990's to raise four sons and work on the family farm.

In 2000 after moving off the farm, she and her husband settled in West Lafayette, Indiana. Patrice then picked up a brush this time focusing on acrylic painting. Once again her colorful, whimsical creations bring a smile to everyone who sees them.
